Itinerary

1. 1

   Arrival in Tanzania

   Welcome to Tanzania! Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your safari representative. Enjoy a private transfer to your hotel in Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. The remainder of the day is at leisure - rest after your flight or explore the vibrant town at your own pace. Accommodation: Aya Sophia, Arusha (Bed & Breakfast).

2. 2

   Tarangire National Park

   After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive south-west to Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds along the Tarangire River. Enjoy an afternoon game drive across acacia woodlands and grasslands, looking out for lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and over 550 bird species. Accommodation: Serian Tarangire Camp (Full Board).

3. 3

   Tarangire to Ngorongoro Highlands

   Begin the day with a half-day game drive in Tarangire in the golden morning light. After a picnic lunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands and arrive at your lodge in time for a leisurely afternoon, with sundowners on the terrace overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater. Optional spa treatments and nature walks at the lodge. Accommodation: Melia Ngorongoro (Full Board).

   Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti

   Rise early for a thrilling descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the Big Five, hippos, flamingos and vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, drive west into the Serengeti and arrive at camp in time for sunset. Accommodation: Serengeti Explorer Camp, Central Serengeti (Full Board).

   Serengeti Game Drives

   Spend the full day exploring the legendary Serengeti. Morning game drive offers prime opportunities to witness predators on the hunt and the Great Migration herds (seasonal). Return to camp for a hot lunch and a brief siesta, then head out again in the late afternoon as the savannah transforms under golden light. Accommodation: Serengeti Explorer Camp, Central Serengeti (Full Board).

6. 6

   Serengeti Game Drives

   Another magical day in the Serengeti. Your guide will tailor the day's routes to recent wildlife sightings and your interests. Morning and afternoon game drives are complemented by a hot lunch at camp. Evening sundowners and campfire stories round off the day under the stars. Accommodation: Wilderness Collection - Warangi Ridge (Full Board).

7. 7

   Farewell Tanzania

   After a final breakfast in the bush, enjoy a short morning game drive en route to Seronera Airstrip. Board your scheduled flight back to Arusha Airport and connect to your international departure or extend your holiday with a Zanzibar beach extension. End of safari services.
